Round 2 submitted

Posted on March 13, 2012

Imagine Cup 2012 Australia logoWe just submitted our entry for the Round 2 of the competition, complete with a game video. It will be posted on the site soon.

The game feels very complete. We have two maps, one smaller and one big. Players can access the smaller map at first and can unlock the big one by buying upgrades. This is required because a big map is hard to cover with just one ship.

Welcome to Rum Run

Posted on March 11, 2012

Rum Run logoWe are Turtle Games and we welcome you to our brand new site. We launched it for our upcoming game, Rum Run. We are four students from Hungary, two programmers and two graphic artists. We decided to create the game to join Microsoft's Imagine Cup competition in the Game Design: Phone category. Our intent is to build an entertaining game for everyone.

Rum Run is a real time strategy game. The player controls ships to trade goods on a map. The goal is to help developing villages with profit made from the sales of two goods: food and rum. As the game progresses the villages grow and require more food to be supplied. Supplying a village earns the player "Tortuga" points which can be spent on upgrades, like more and faster ships.

We will be keeping you up to date on our progress. You can find more information about Rum Run on our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/RumRun
